I am a final year student studying a Masters in Data Science. My Bachelors degree was in Physics, where my dissertation was focused on modelling and analysing data from a Kinetic Inductance Detector to evaluate its performance in terms of its performance metrics. This project showed me the importance of data and the role it plays in shaping innovation. By modelling and analysing detector data, it was then possible to identify key areas that required improvement, and thus necessary physics can be employed to understand it. This sparked an interest for this field, as there are potentially limitless applications of data analytics to solve real world problems and create a positive impact.
